Welcome to The Watershed.
The Watershed is a Washington, DC theater company, evolving with our audience as we find our voices again together. We’re all emerging after two years of pandemic separation, urgently seeking to engage in live performances and revitalize our shared spaces. It’s imperative to do so with plays which force us to reflect, confront our misconceptions, our intolerance, and our vulnerabilities.
The Watershed is dedicated to exploring plays that provoke discussion—from the intimate level of human interaction to the global issues of race, socio-economic inequality, and the environment. Can we truly come together in this moment of radical redefinition?
Our inaugural production is Irish playwright Mark O’Rowe’s The Approach, presented at the 2022 Capital Fringe Festival.
